A postdoctoral position is available within a joint ISB/NIST collaboration to develop high throughput multimodal image acquisition and analysis capabilities in a systems biology environment. This individual will be part of a multidisciplinary team (with expertise ranging from cell biology to computation), that is developing cutting edge imaging tools for multi-parameter evaluation of live cells at the single cell level. A unique feature of this position is the opportunity for the successful applicant to access the state-of-the-art systems biology tools of ISB in Seattle and the critical measurement expertise of NIST near Washington DC.

The ideal applicant will have the following skills:

• Proven ability to develop image processing and analysis techniques
• Experience with cell imaging
• Expertise in machine learning or statistical learning approaches
• Familiarity with statistical analyses of biological data
• Expertise with Matlab or similar scientific development environment
• Good written and oral communication skills
