Amy Zamora is a Systems Research Scholar working with the Baliga lab at ISB. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics at Haverford College in 2018 with her studies focused on applied mathematics and computational neuroscience. Amy’s senior thesis centered around a deriving the solution to a mathematical model for motor protein induced microtubule formation. Some of her additional work in undergrad involved characterizing a gene associated with habituation mutants in zebrafish and working to develop a visual method of assessing growth status during rare cancer cell line generation. Amy’s expertise lies in molecular biology/genetics, human tissue culture, and neurobiology in zebrafish.
