Caroline Cannistra is a Systems Research Scholar working in the Shmulevich and Heath labs at ISB. She is also a model developer for Biocellion, a high performance computing framework for multi scale modeling of biological systems. Caroline got her bachelor’s degrees in bioengineering and applied mathematics at the University of Washington in 2017. Her senior capstone project involved building a software package for modeling evolutionary stability in genetic circuits, for use by synthetic biologists. Caroline’s fields of expertise are mathematical modeling, object-oriented programming, synthetic biology, and game theory.
