With over 17 years of experience in the financial industry, Taunya began her career in the investment management business as a stock analyst for Ragen MacKenzie in 2000. At Ragen MacKenzie, Taunya quickly distinguished herself with her stock picking and investment record. Taunya was invited and joined the follow-on firm RMG Asset Management in 2011 as a partner. There she provided investment recommendations for investors at RMG until the company was sold to Stifel Financial in 2013. She moved her practice to UBS in 2014. Taunya is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a member of the CFA Society of Seattle and a member of the Seattle Bond Club. She is also on the fundraising board for the Institute for Systems Biology. Prior to her investment management career, Taunya worked as a scientist at the University of Washington, her alma mater. Beginning with a Howard Hughes Fellowship in the mid-1990s, Taunya spent five years working primarily in biochemistry and immunology laboratories, with her last position working for two Nobel Laureates.
